Glow-in-the-Dark Buzz Lightyear is the sole digitally-exclusive playable character.Many gameplay videos of the Cars non-playable characters being played as was used to promote Disney Infinity. Ferb and Zurg are both known to have been scrapped as playable characters, but the Cars characters, it is believed, were all given playable character mechanics because this had to be done in order for them to be used as racing opponents in the Cars Play Set. It has been discovered that Ferb, Emperor Zurg, and all of the characters from the Cars Play Set can be summoned from the code of Disney Infinity to play as.Many of these were scrapped due to the cancellation of the series. Throughout the development of the Disney Infinity series, various characters were considered to include as playable that ultimately did not make it into the games.
